Florida Taco Bell Worker Detained for Shooting at Women Over Free Drink Dispute
A Taco Bell employee in West Palm Beach was arrested for allegedly shooting at three women after a dispute over soda. The incident began when one of the women reportedly filled a water cup with soda.
Gunfire Caught on Video
Authorities claim that D'Mari Jy'Quan Patterson, 20, started yelling at the women inside the restaurant. The altercation was allegedly captured on video by other customers. Gunfire was reported moments before shots were fired.
One woman was hit by a bullet and fell, while another sustained a graze wound. The third woman reportedly fled the scene as Patterson chased her.
Injuries and Charges
The injured women received treatment at a local hospital, but the third woman was unharmed. Patterson faces three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. It is unclear if he had permission to carry a firearm while working.
