Ohio Woman Missing for 7 Years Discovered in Garbage Bag
The search for missing woman Paige Coffey has concluded tragically. Coffey, who disappeared in 2019, was found on April 17.
A Grim Discovery
Coffey’s remains were discovered in a garbage bag at an empty property in Cleveland. Workers cleaning the site around 12:15 p.m. made the discovery, as reported by Local 12 News.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the remains, bringing an end to the long-unsolved case. The cause and manner of her death are still under investigation.
Timeline of Disappearance
Coffey was 27 when her family reported her missing on May 17, 2019, after she failed to contact them on Mother's Day—a behavior they found unusual. Surveillance footage from May 7, 2019, captured her at a Home Depot in Steelyard Commons with a man she was dating.
This man became a person of interest in 2025 when it was revealed that the couple had recently reconciled before her disappearance.
No arrests have been made as investigators continue to determine how Coffey's remains ended up at the vacant home and what transpired during her last days.
