A YouTuber is accused of involvement in a prank call that allegedly led to a fatal shooting in Amsterdam. The incident is linked to his platform, according to prosecutors.

According to Dexerto, Dutch prosecutors reported in a preliminary hearing that the call was made by YouTuber Rouand YT about 30 minutes before the New Year’s Day shooting. Court records suggest a viewer paid €5 for the prank call.

Shooting Followed Shortly After

Prosecutors allege that suspect Efe Y. arrived at Piet Wiedijkpark and fired at three teenagers unrelated to the call. Two Syrian asylum seekers were killed, while another teenager escaped. No evidence suggests they were intended targets.

Rouand YT denies making the call and claims he was not livestreaming on that day. It remains unclear how prosecutors will establish his connection to the incident.

Legal Proceedings

The case advances through the Dutch legal system as authorities try to clarify events and responsibilities. The alleged €5 prank has led to multiple fatalities and raised significant legal concerns.
