YouTuber's Prank Call Allegedly Tied to Deadly Amsterdam Shooting
A YouTuber is accused of involving his platform in a prank call that allegedly led to a fatal shooting in Amsterdam. The incident occurred on New Year's Day, resulting in the deaths of two teenagers.
Shooting Details Emerge
According to Dexerto, Dutch prosecutors stated during a preliminary hearing that the call, allegedly linked to YouTuber Rouand YT, happened roughly 30 minutes before the shooting. The suspect, identified as Efe Y., reportedly received instructions to go to a "blue bridge" at Piet Wiedijkpark.
Allegations and Denials
Upon arriving at the park, Efe Y. allegedly opened fire on three teenagers, killing two Syrian asylum seekers while the third escaped. Prosecutors do not believe the victims were targets of the prank call.
Rouand YT has denied involvement, claiming he was not livestreaming that day. It is currently unclear what evidence connects him to the call.
