On April 20, 2026, deputies responded to a 911 call indicating an "unknown problem" at his residence in Boulder County, Colorado. The call suggested a possible mental health crisis. Upon arrival, deputies found him outside holding a weapon. Moments later, he used the weapon on himself and was pronounced dead.
